Recently, my mobile phone has been operating slowly. What are some possible causes?

Please check to see whether or not you have the latest version of the PhoneGuard Anti-Virus and virus database. If these are out of date, then it is a likely cause of your slow operation. You should then update these and perform a virus scan accordingly.

Other possible causes are not necessarily related to any type of virus. For example, excessive running programs and failure to release memory in time, may cause your mobile to slow down. The subsequent products of PhoneGuard Mobile Anti-Virus will be able to solve similar problems.

Can the PhoneGuard Anti-Virus scan for viruses in compressed files (i.e. zip, rar)?

A virus packed into a zip file can not harm or interfere with the normal functioning of your mobile phone. Therefore, the PhoneGuard Anti-Virus will not remove this virus unless it is released from the zip file.

My virus database is out of date. Why does the system prompt "failure to update”?

Make sure your mobile phone is connected to the network. Please call our Customer Service if you need further assistance.

I have already downloaded the software, but the virus database doesn’t match my mobile phone. What should I do?

In such case, turn off your mobile phone and wait one minute before turning it back on and restarting the software.

How often should I update the virus database on the PhoneGuard Anti-Virus?

Because mobile phone viruses are developing and spreading rapidly, the virus database will be updated at least once a week. You can manually update more frequently according to your own need. To guarantee the security of your mobile phone, you are suggested to adopt the latest version of the virus database. Please see the following instructions to setup automatic update:
